$2.00 per class for non-members (included in fitness center memberships)

All classes are one hour long and may include:  warm-up, aerobic section, strength training with body bars, tubes, bands, dumbbells, medicine balls, rope jumping, boxing moves, abdominal work, kettlebells, bender balls, Pilates and stretching.  Many classes include step.  

**All classes may be modified for low or high intensity depending on your individual fitness level.

The Luray Fitness Center welcomes Professional Dance Instructor Meghan Cupp, 
who has trained in both the Vaganova and Cecchetti methods of Classical Ballet. 
Meghan has danced professionally and has extensive experience teaching 

 all levels of classical ballet, from beginners through advanced students.

GYMNASTICS PROGRAM 

   

Wednesdays:

 Beginning Tumbling:  4:15 - 5:15 pm  

Emphasis on gaining balance, coordination and mobility
Intermediate Tumbling:  5:15 - 6:15 pm 
Beginning tumbling skills, forward roll, cartwheels, head/hand stands
Advanced Tumbling:  6:00 - 7:30 pm 
Beginning competitive-type tumbling, work on routines and more difficult tumbling
Cheerleading Tumbling: 7:00 - 8:30 pm 
NOTE:  Classes are not limited to age groups; ability is taken into consideration

TONING CLASS

A group class designed to tone the whole body

Second Degree Black Belt Instructor Jim Wyatt is under the Instruction of:  Sensei Jaime Valentin (Jimmy), 5th Degree Black Belt Instructor, has been in karate for 30 years (since 1972), has taught martial arts for 22 years (since 1980), Luray Fitness Centers' instructor since January 1997 as well as owning two other karate studios, 2nd Degree Black Belt in Okinawa Kemp, Brown Belt Chinese Boxing, training in Jujitsu, Aikido and Judo.

Kids Zoo Tai Chi Classes

Kids Zoo is designed to introduce children of all ages to the importance of exercise through the imitation of animal movements and noises.  It incorporates focus & discipline in a fun fit environment.

WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE & AWARENESS

Basic Self-Defense techniques, using your best weapons; your mind and your

 attitude.  Become alert to on-coming situations, and how to avoid them.  This is not a
karate class, but learning simple techniques that work.  

Loose fitting clothes are all that’s required. 

Practice not being a victim.
