| The group exercise instructors and personal training staff attended the 15th Annual DCAC International Fitness Conference held in Alexandria, VA from August 3 - 6th. From left, Luray Fitness Center owner Judy Knizewski, and instructors Tammy Courtney and Marcy Campbell attended sessions with topics covering: exercise training research, identifying high-risk or ineffective exercises, metabolism: reality vs. controversy, genetics - menopause - weight gain and exercise, sports conditioning, stretching, gliding, step, resistance training, circuit training, body bar, and fit for kids. Continuing education credits were received towards the instructors certifications which include: Aerobic Instructor, Group Exercise Leader, Personal Trainer, and Weight Management Consultant |
